Update : The 1000th signature was recorded at 9:18 PM PST on February 28 by Tracy from Cincinnati, OH. That’s 1000 signatures in under 48 hours, which is, like, unbelievable. Let’s just say that participation has wildly exceeded my expectations. I’m expecting to hear from my hosting company soon about excessive bandwidth usage.
Northern Attack is teaming up with Give Me My Remote to launch a campaign for supersizing the upcoming season finale. For those of you who haven’t heard the news, Greg Daniels mentioned in a recent interview that he’d like to air an extended season finale. I think this a great idea, and I’m guessing most of you do, too. That’s why we’ve set up an online petition to further the cause. Head on over and show your support. And please, spread the word. We’re looking to round up as many quality signatures as possible.
That’s right, folks: The Watercooler is now open for business. Several of you saw right through my attempt at a surprise, but hopefully that won’t stop you from checking it out. As far as discussion forums go, The Watercooler deviates a bit from standard convention. I wanted something consistent with the design aesthetic of Northern Attack: clean, simple, and lightweight, with a purposeful absence of banners competing for your attention. I can only hope that it meets your expectations. I offer my thanks to the hard-working people at Lussumo for making this possible with their wonderful software.
Fans of The Office would be well-advised to make haste to the nearest newsstand where the most recent issue of Entertainment Weekly awaits. Inside, you’ll find smoking new pictures of the cast dressed to kill. Literally. Tread carefully, guys, lest ye be blinded by the supreme hotness that is Pam-in-Black. I’ve scanned the pictures from the article for those of you who would like a sneak preview of what to expect.
Brand new pictures aside, the article is also a solid read and includes a nice featurette spotlighting the supporting cast members.
A few of you suggested that I organize a mass rewatch of an older episode to get us through the next two weeks. I was about to start preparations on Health Care when it dawned on me: I’ve got two whole weeks to work with here. That’s a pretty decent chunk of time, certainly enough to explore some possibilities that need exploring. So, here’s what I’m going to do for you all: our self-programmed rerun will have to wait; instead, I’m going to deliver something even better to you folks sometime within the next couple weeks.
I can’t reveal any more than I already have, but I can almost guarantee that it will rock your world. At the very least, it will rock your socks off. Stay tuned.
Love is in the air in Scranton, but mainly just around Phyllis’ desk. The flood of gifts from Vance Refrigeration puts the neglected women of the office in a foul mood, leading some to consume vast amounts of liquor and others to reconsider their choice of suitors. Meanwhile, Michael heads off to New York to deliver a financial presentation devoid of financial information and is rewarded for his efforts with a Valentine’s Day surprise.
I’ve posted the full recap for Boys and Girls. I hope I addressed most of the points that were brought up in the comments section, which, by the way, was very extensive and insightful. I really enjoyed reading what you all had to say; keep it up and I may start having you all write my recaps for me.
I wanted to introduce everyone to OfficeTally brought to you by tanster. The site is built around the very simple premise of allowing fans of the show to rate each episode. It’s clean, unobtrusive, and well worth your patronage. The site only recently launched, so there may be a few glitches here and there, but tanster has asked me to recruit you all to start putting it through the works. Check it out when you have the chance.
Gender lines are drawn in the office when Jan decides to gather the women in the conference room for a Women in the Workplace seminar. Eager to make a power play of his own, Michael leads the men of the office down to the warehouse, where he comes in contact with heavy machinery and practically everything else down there. The day turns out to be a complete bust for both camps with the exception of Pam who discovers that there is life beyond the reception desk, but only for those willing to take the plunge.
For Hannah and the rest of you who are having technical difficulties, I’ve transcribed the cast video answers to questions submitted by the fans through the official site last week. To those of you who were lucky enough to have your question selected, I apologize if I misspelled your name in the transcript. Enjoy.
