As I sit here at my desk counting down the hours to Casino Night, I feel compelled to say a few things. I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t simply a convenient way for me to pass the time. Aside from my selfish pursuits, however, there exists a genuinely important message that demands your attention.
It has been a tremendous year not just for this show, but also for us, the fans. I feel that the finale tonight marks not just the end of the season, but a sort of milestone for the online Office community. We’ve come a long way over the past several months from a meager online presence to something much more impressive. I’m proud to consider myself part of an online community that includes Jennie at OfficeTally, Kathie over at Give Me My Remote, Brian from Life in the Office, the pioneering Marc at The Office Quotes, David’s Scranton Branch (currently in the process of reinventing themselves), the LiveJournal folks, as well as the Television Without Pity crowd, and a number of other Office-related sites that continue to spring up as the show maintains its trajectory towards a bright and promising future. This may sound like a good-bye, but it’s more like a reminder of things to come (and believe me, there are things coming).
It has been a pleasure to cover The Office with the rest of you. Now, please, someone tell me how I can speed up time.
Awww, James, you're making me get all sentimental. This has truly been an amazing year for our favorite show, as well as Northern Attack. NA has always been my favorite online Office community and I'm proud to be a part of it. You have created a magnificent forum for all of us Office fanatics to enjoy and we appreciate it! You deserve a very special Dundie award for being 'The Greatest.' Thank you, James!
You should be really proud of this site and it's cyber community, James. This is definitely one of my favorite places to spend my time online. Here's to a great season and the future happenings of the Scranton Branch and Northern Attack.
James, I commented in the Casino Night post, but since you made this post, it fits better here. Really, thanks for all you've done. You have created such a great place for me to do all things Office, and I love it. So thanks again for your awesome blossum work; you're really making Office fandom history. And for all you Dunder-Mifflin-ites out there, thanks for just being Office fans.
Seriously, man, job well done on this site. It's my first stop on Friday mornings...Love getting the insight of so many witty and insightful office lovers.
Ahhhh!!!!!!!! Are you watching?!?! "I'm in love with you..." swoon
Oh. My. God.
So what's the JPI this week? :)
Well said. I'm actually very surprised how large the community is. While working on The Office Quote Battle I had know idea all these great sites existed. Once again thanks for welcoming me and listing my site on your links section. It's nice that all these Office fans are really cool. I'll be sure to introduce myself to those you mentioned. Great job on Northern Attack and a big whats up to all you Office Fans!
"Now, please, someone tell me how I can speed up time."
Maybe, in addition to telekinesis, Halpert can warp time WITH HIS MIND. Though he's probably a little preoccupied at the moment...
Thanks for hosting and the great content. Put out a tip jar and you could probably get some help on bandwidth.
This really is a phenomenal website, exactly what the best show on television deserves. Thanks for all that you do, James.
That was a good episode! I did a dedication to the office in my blog:

Thanks, James.
Now, can you speed up time so that it's September -- tomorrow??
Thank you, James, for having this site. It is definately a daily visit for me. Oh yeah, did you see that KISS?
omg best episode ever! i love jim. forever. period.
AWWWWW JIM!
wow.
well this is from my comment on angela's myspace:
tonight i laughed OUT LOUD so much, and then i welled up and got teary.
i'm so shocked and i'm gonna miss getting my office fix every week until.. well when it comes back..
SIGH what a brilliant season of television. what an amazing, amazing job the writers have done, and the way the whole cast fleshed out their roles and created so much life, aiee this episode was so sad.. the end. IM SO SHOCKED!
i loved it when angela slapped dwight. hahaha, ahh fun..
and Creed, i think Creed deserves a spin off.
anyway, so i'm in agony til we get more new office. when does that time come btw?
and good job james, for keeping up an awesome site where every week i can go and share the latest office talk
It has been a pleasure reading you as well James. I am so unbelievably impressed by your work on this site and your efforts to expand the online Office community. Thank you for making my daily clicks to this site more than worthwhile!
Aww shucks, James, that was sweet. :) I do agree with you that the Office online community has come along way but no worries... there's more to come! And as a fan of NA, thank you for your time and effort in putting together a terrific site - we, the fans, appreciate it. I look forward to the many things to come! :)
Seriously...we're an online community that got a season finale supersized. I think what makes us really special, though, is that, for the first time, the cast is involved with their fandom. Jenna Fischer started it off with her myspace page-- having an actor so open to communicating with their fans is unheard of nowadays. We are really a little virtual office community of our own. Thanks to the actors and to you, James, and Tanster, and everyone you mentioned for making THE OFFICE more than a TV show.
I seriously would like to thank you for running this great online community! I know I might not post a lot but this has to be one of my top ten sites I check on a daily bases. Again Thank You!
Damn, James. I saw "Closing Remarks" and I almost had an aneurism. Don't ever do that again.
