No Office, No Problem

Monday12 December 2005

No new episodes means more time for other fun things. What better way to celebrate Christmas than with best-of lists, top moments, and other Office-related features? Drop me a line or leave a comment if you’ve got any ideas. I can’t guarantee I’ll have time to satisfy everyone’s requests, but I’ll at least file them away for safekeeping. Once I finish up my pre-holidays work, I’ll sift through all of your suggestions and see what I can come up with.

Didja notice that the official NBC site has now listed the title of the next Office ep? — it's called "Booze Cruise." Of course, NBC has, at least once, switched the order of upcoming eps, but still, it's tantalizing to ponder...

James, my only request is that you post more episode recaps! They are so fantastic to read, and besides, that'll give me an incentive to finish my own quotifying (no, that isn't a word) work. I've caught up on commenting on all your recaps, so now it's your turn to post some new ones. ;)

Well personally, all of these wonderful "Office" fan fictions and music videos have really helped me deal with the hiatus. Maybe you could have a fan section with things like that.

Did you see? Steve Carrell got nominated for a golden globe!

Woo-hoo, that is AWESOME!

You can find the complete list of Golden Globe nominees here.

Thanks for posting that, Erica!

No "Office" tonight for me means I can finally start the Christmas shopping I've been putting off for the past six months or so. Wahhhh .... come back, "Office"!!

I totally agree with the first comment, more episode recaps. Until recently I didn't realize that I skipped The Fight. I was reading the recap and I was like "Hey... I don't remember a dojo." What a freakin' gem.

The description for "Booze Cruise" has now been posted:

WON'T YOU LET ME TAKE YOU ON A SEA CRUISE - When Michael (Steve Carell) takes the Dunder Mifflin crew on a "motivational" harbor cruise aboard a party boat on Lake Wallenpaupack, things get out of hand - and Michael ends up in the brig. Meanwhile, Jim (John Krasinski) is bummed when Roy (David Denman) and Pam (Jenna Fischer) finally set a wedding date.

!!!

Just wanted to say that I looked online everyone for a good site about regarding the office and couldn't find much. I got so frustrated that I even created my own online community called, The 03C, The Office: Official Online Community
http://p104.ezboard.com/bnbctheoffice

However, your site rocks! The graphics and content are amazing. This is a very cool layout. You must be very talented. Keep up the good work! I'll be sure to add a link to your site over at The 03C.

Booze Cruise sounds like it'll be great fun. For those of you posting forum links, I will eventually get around to adding them to the site. I promise. I just need to get some work out of the way first.

KS : Thank you, happy holidays to you folks as well.

Looks like episode recaps it is. I just arrived home for the break yesterday. Looking forward to finally having some free time, so expect some updates in the coming days.

Really interesting: the synopsis for "Booze Cruise" has been rewritten:

WON'T YOU LET ME TAKE YOU ON A SEA CRUISE - Michael (Golden Globe nominee Steve Carell) takes the Dunder Mifflin crew on a freezing "motivational" booze cruise in January in an attempt to get them to accept his theories on leadership. To his frustration, they find the ship's captain more inspiring, and Jim (John Krasinski) becomes motivated to speak his heart to Pam (Jenna Fischer). Rainn Wilson, B.J. Novak also star.

A little opposite of the original, isn't it?

Glad you're back, James!
