True. It was just pure speculation. I don't know. Like i said, it's probably highly unlikely that he has moved on from her. His talking head just seemed a little more detached then he has been when he or anyone else had referred to her before. That's all. You're probably right, though :)

OfficeAddict, hi. I'm not so sure that Jim's as moved on from Pam as you read it. I definitely heard melancholy in the way he spoke about her. It didn't seem to me that he was talking about her the way you'd talk about someone who's really in the past. Just my take . . .

I completely understand, James. You do such a good job on the recaps and, of course, the new episodes should take priority. Anyway, keep up the good work on the site! All us Office fans appreciate your hard work!

Awesome, glad to know the recaps are still up to par.

Nice comments, *OfficeAddict*. Regarding your question, it's been my plan all along to go back and fill in the gaps from the first two seasons. It's mainly a lack of time that's been keeping me from making good on that promise. It takes me a while to produce each recap, probably around 8 hours on average. Factor in a full-time-plus job and that pretty much leaves weekends as my only opportuntity to whip out the recaps. New episodes get priority, so that leaves very little time for rewinding back to the older ones.

Basically, I need a clone of myself. :)

Completely different topic altogether, but James, have you thought about going back to season 1 and doing episode summaries for the rest of the episodes? You've probably been asked that before and i apologize if you have, but i was just wondering.

I love love love reading everyone's comments! It's so nice to read what everyone else thinks about the show. Discussion is great!

I think this season has been awesome. True, much different from the first 2 seasons, but the change was needed. I wasn't too keen on the idea of new people joining the cast, but the new characters are wonderful (got to love Andy!) so i'm excited for the future interaction between the Stamford characters and the Scranton characters.

After watching Jim in another branch, being away from his Scranton home, i've decided just exactly why i miss him. It's not JAM at all. It's the Dwight/Jim interaction. I loved those two together! I mean, specifically the Dwight/Jim interaction, though all interaction between Jim and any other character was great! He definitely added those faces of annoyance/amusement/horror, etc. that summed up the viewer's feelings to the situation (though the other characters did an excellent job at that, too). Plus, Jim would have loved everything that's happened in the past 3 episodes. Too bad he missed it, but that's life, toots.

Karen is great. I'm really happy to see Jim move on a little from Pam. I mean, Pam has to fight for Jim! She needs the competition, and yes, i'm speaking as if Jim and Karen will eventually get together. Pam needs the challenge and, w/ another woman in the way, she'll come to realize just how much she loves Jim. Boom. Owned.

Speaking of ownage, i suck major ass at Call of Duty which is why i was so psyched to see Jim sucking as well! Yay! Plus, the "meeting" between Jim, Josh, and Andy = the best scene of the episode in my opinion.

Back to Jim and Karen, someone mentioned that we're assuming Jim and Karen will get together. True, i am making an ass out of u and me, but they made an excellent point. Maybe Jim doesn't really want a relationship now. I mean, Karen has the longing looks down, but she could easily be the "Jim" of the crush and Jim could be the "Pam". Unless Jim gives into her flirting and crush, we've basically just seen Jim indulge her and be friendly w/ her (though the deleted scenes implied a little more in that area). Either way, i'm excited to see where that goes.

Another observation. Notice when Jim talks about Pam. The camera didn't linger on Jim's face after he talked about it but it seemed really easy for him to talk about her. Like, a good memory but there was no longing look in his eyes afterward. Maybe he's moved on from her. I mean, of course, that's probably highly unlikely but it just seemed like....to relate it to a completely different analogy: when someone has passed away, you grieve, but eventually it becomes easier to talk about that person. That talking head kind of felt like that. Good memories of Pam, but that's about it. I don't know, pure speculation right there.

And sorry for my HUGE comment ^^;;

I always look forward to your reviews, James - they are full of insight! As I have been re-watching season 2, I have pulled up your reviews and re-read them too. They provide a great value add and thoughtful perspective on the storyline. Thanks for keeping them accessible. The season 2 review helps provide the jam fix while both Jim and Pam are moving forward with their lives.

I completely understand about the work load though...hopefully it will get better! At least know that you are providing a great benefit to all of us who log in to Northern Attack!
