First off, I must tell you I love this website. It has entertained and consoled me so much at work (as a receptionist, no less) and has helped to fuel what has become a very unhealthy obsession with this show.

I did not even question what Dwight was doing at the end of the episode, but thanks to this recap, I get it. Lighting the way for Michael. That is...so like him.

I actually feel sorry for the actor who plays Roy -- he's so good at playing the meathead you love to hate that I bet some people think thats who he is in real life. ;-)

This is definitely my favorite Office episode to date. I have watched it so many times, I hesitate to count. I'm very anxious for, hopefully, some deleted scenes from the DVD to show us more of Michaels shenanigans.

Ping is a horribly racist "Asian" caricature character that Michael does. (I don't even know how to describe Ping without being offensive.) Ping wears thick glasses and I believe has buck teeth - something else to look forward to on the DVD.

I have so much to say...

OK- So I think I, too, fell in love with Pam during this episode. One of my favorite parts is when she is watching the old Dundie footage in the conference room. Both when Kevin sits in front of the camera and when she gets embarassed by her Longest Engagement award- which Jim spots from his desk.

Speaking of Fat Halpert, he is such a great guy to not take advantage of Pam in ANY way - he would be much easier to tell Drunk Pam about his feelings towards her than Sober Pam. Obviously the first episode of the second season would be the worst time to tip the friend/more-than-a-friend scales, but the writers did it by making Jim look like the gentleman that he is.

Lastly, I love in The Alliance (season 1) when Dwight is listing off facts about Meredith for Michael and includes "Awards: multiple Dundies..."

and of course --

"... and then it's like second drink."

PURE GOLD.

Travesty of travesties, I have not actually seen this episode. (I got my dates mixed up; I was inconsolable for...well, a good ten minutes.) Thankyouthankyou for doing this one first. :)

At some point, the hole that Michael is digging himself into will cease to be a hole and start to become a trench.

Oh, I think he's well into trench territory already. He could install a swimming pool he's in so deep.

I really, really need to see this episode. Never thought I'd actually want reruns. Oh, wait! iTunes! Problem solved.

Great job, once again. I loved that Pam must have been so drunk during the "second drink" line that she didn't notice that there weren't any ice cubes left in the glass. Oh, and in Jim's recap of the evening, I had thought he said, "We got to see Pam..." as in her acceptance speech.
