Got all the Office episodes downloaded from the iTunes Store, with nothing to play them on? How ’bout a shiny new 30GB video iPod?
And you don’t even have to work all that hard to win it, especially if you’re already a regular OfficeTally and Northern Attack poster.
In fact, it’s dinkin’ flicka easy.
Add comments to 8 posts, and you could win a brand new 30GB video iPod!
Once a week for 8 weeks, either OfficeTally or Northern Attack will display one of its posts with this badge:

Add a comment to all 8 tagged posts, and you will be eligible to win a brand new 30GB iPod!
A tagged post will be closed to new comments after about a week, so get those comments posted early.
Jennie and James will choose one eligible entrant to receive the iPod.
We will also have a list of runners-up, in case the person we choose as the grand prizewinner doesn’t have a valid email address.
Comments must be: a) appropriate to the content of the post and b) between 20-200 words long.
No typos or grammatical errors, no offensive language, no SHOUTING, no personal attacks, no derogatory remarks.
Leave only one comment per tagged post.
Use the same name and the same valid email address for all comments at both sites. This is the only way we can identify you!
The iPod grand prizewinner must reside in the U.S. or Canada; the consolation prizewinners must reside in the U.S. Sorry, international folks; there are only two of us here, and this was the only way we could keep things manageable.
Jennie and James, at their discretion, will remove any post that does not meet these requirements, and without notice.
All dates are also posted on the OfficeTally Calendar.
One grand prize: A brand new 30GB video iPod!
Consolation prizes: 5 runners-up will each receive their choice of an Office episode from the iTunes Store!
Leave a comment below, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can!
Be on the lookout for the first tagged post the week of June 18th.
Make us proud, folks. If this goes well, then maybe we’ll offer a Prism DuroSport next summer. We hear those things are pretty sturdy.
Sweet! "I never owned an iPod before." :)
What an excellent and generous idea, James. You and Jennie are a fantastic duo. I can't stress that, enough. Thank you!
I thought we were supposed to limit the gifts to under twenty dollars?
Everyone wants the iPod. It's a huge hit. It is almost a Christmas miracle.
Thanks OT and NA!
You'd better not be giving away that cheap-o ipod imitator that Roy got Pam. ;-)
You guys just cannot stop rocking.
Thanks so much for rewarding your loyal posters!!! WooHoo!! J
I am not really sure if this post is eligable for the contest, since it DOES have that little icon up there, so I'm playing it safe and making a comment here anyways!
You guys so rock. You could not rock more in fact. You could try, but you would fail. Keep rockin'!
That's cool, I guess. I mean, I'm already an OfficeTally and Northern Attack freak. I might as well be able to win something anyway.
Wasn't GMMR also gonna be part of this?
Just to clarify things: this post does not count as one of the 8 tagged posts. The iPod Giveaway stamp will be displayed prominently at the top of each tagged post.
John D'arc, the nature of this promotion requires a good amount of coordination. Jennie and I live a short distance from one another, so we decided it would be best if we kept it between our two sites.
Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to redirect all of your thanks over to Jennie at OT. She put an enormous amount of effort into organizing this event, and she deserves your full gratitude. I was just there for moral support and the occasional wisecrack.
Neat promotion! I've been coming here for a while and never really posted. This is really nice idea. As if Office fans didn't love this site enough already!
Ah, but James, your wisecracks are worth their weight in gold.
Very cool. I have every episode of Season 2 and I'm forced to watch them on my crappy PC. I shouldn't be so ungrateful - some people in third world countries have to use old Apple computers. Think about what THEY go through. I feel much better now that I've put my plight into perspective. But seriously, thank you so much. I hope I remember to participate.
I'm just excited that my Office/Northern Attack/Office Tally addiction is finally starting to pay off. I always knew it would! Really sweet contest, guys!
Look who got carried away with the spirit of Christmas!
You did.
Wait, wait, wait! I know what this is! This is reverse pschology! He wants us to want this ipod! I think. Where did you guys get the money to do this? Afterall, you don't run any ads on your sites...
Wow, this really is a nice gesture! I can't think of any ulterior motive here, as neither of you make money off this stuff...you just want to keep the Office loyal together in these painful summer months, and that's completely admirable.
Though, you know, I wouldn't hate you if you found some way to make some money on something.
So....this is an awesome idea.
Question: Can we Canadians play this reindeer game or are we exempt from winning the awesome prize as we so often are in American contests?
Please tell me we can play....please please please. With a cherry on top. :)
Do you mean posts just on NA (and OT) or will it include in the forums of NA as well?
This is a very good idea to do this during the summer to keep the community all atingle. Not that we need any incentive to get all excited, especially with the cliffhanger we had!
It's really cool that you two are doing this for us. It will be a great way to keep the 'Office' frenzy going over the summer until the new season starts!
What a great idea! It's funny, because my husband and I were just at Best Buy yesterday and we looked at the video iPods while we were there. I was telling him that while I really love them, I didn't really want to pay for one out of my own money. But if someone gave me one as a gift (or I somehow won one), I would be thrilled! :)
dlo and Graham, you're right: we don't make money off of NA and OT. This show drives us to do foolish things like running fan sites without seeking compensation. It's good like that. As for how this contest was funded, it may or may not have involved robbing a bank and escaping through the sewers. Seriously, though, let's just say that you have generous people looking over your shoulders. We have our ways. :)
Nicole, I'll have to consult my partner in crime on that one, but I don't see why not. Check back for an update.
Sam, only posts that appear on NA and OT will be tagged. The NA forums will not contain tagged posts.
Great questions, folks. I'll sync up with tanster and have an updated version of the FAQ available later.
Update : The Rules and FAQ have been updated. Canada is in.

Couldn't have said it better myself. We love what we do and we do it for free.

Neither James nor I paid for the iPod grand prize. You might say that we have a mystery benefactor. ;)
What a cool thing to do! You guys really do run the greatest "The Office" sites...keep up the great work
You guys are too cool. And I wouldn't even trade it for a tea kettle full of goodies from Jim!
Well, if I didn't already have reason enough to visit NA and Office Tally during the summer.
I knew that these sites were going to help the Office fan community get through the summer as it were, but , this is just Office-tastic!
I got my brother a 30G video ipod for christmas (after I saw the Office episode) so he could watch the show (and I'm proud of being suckered into the double promotion) only to have him loan it to me while I flew for a trip from NY to CA in March and leave it in the back pocket of the seat in front of me (Office episodes and all). He hates me now, quite justifiably. I'm going to do my darndest to get us back on good terms with your kind offer.
Thanks so much. You continue to make the simple acts of looking forward to, watching, laughing at, and reflecting on the dialogue and situations of a good tv show that much more enjoyable and communal.
Yay!!!!
Thanks so much guys for letting us Canucks compete. I don't know what I'd do with myself all summer without your sites. I actually had a dream last night (no joke) that Jim and I were joking around in the lunchroom about what we'd do if we were still at Dunder-Mifflin in 5 years (yes, I'm apparently crazy now). So, as you can see your sites provide a much-needed outlet for us Office fanatics. Keep it up!!
That's such a great idea! Gives me something to look forward to till this next season!
Awesome! And maybe after the giveaway, we could play yankee swap!
Great idea, guys! I hope I win it, because I know a cool web site where you can get songs for a penny.
Wow, that's great! I'm the only one in my family that doesn't have an iPod. Oh well, someday I shall have one.
My excitment is incalculable right now! I will be here every week, you can definitely count on that! All I have is my computer, and what's better than watching The Office after work for at least one hour everyday? Boosting that time up because now I have an ipod that will give me my office fix 24 hours a day!
Bad Larry! Bad Marry! Bad Spam!
Wait. What day is it again? Oh! the 19th!
::runs to check yesterday's posts::
This is very generous of you folks. I won't be entering as I own the 60GB version but someone out there will be very very happy. Good luck folks.
That is awesome. I could use one of those considering my ancient CD player just broke. YAY!
This is such a great idea! You guys always keep us office fanatics smiling!
Admit it, this so-called Ipod really comes with a device already installed that tracks everything the winner records on it, then adds a subliminal track to each song that's played back. I know this to be true because Dwight said it was.
Thanks to Jenna for posting the info about this on her myspace blog! I can't wait for Season 3 of The Office!
Gotta love i-pod!!!!
I just got wind of this exciting contest! An I-Pod would make my daily 4 hour office commute on the trains less stressful and enjoyable!
Well I may not have one but I want to give one to my mom because my mom likes to lisen to clasics. But its hard to fined them but you can fined them on the net.
Nice! A great way to help pass the time till the new season. Great job James!
