It will be awfully interesting to see how all the newbies fit into the current network of relationships in the office. I hope Jim and Pam get back together, and I'm excited to see Jim as number 2, that should spice things up between him and Dwight. So I kind of take back what I said about the conversation not having a chance to go anywhere good. If Jim had seen the look on Pam's face when she figured out there was something going on between him and Karen the whole thing could have played out differently. Jim was looking for a reaction and all he got was a generic "it's good to have you back", I'd be pissed too. I had another idea! Plus, she was excited to see him (and that blew up in her face), then she saw the backrub Karen gave Jim, etc. etc. It all kind of piled up and she got angry and, boom, you have the Pam in the parking lot scene. She was not in the mood to hear Jim tell her he was seeing someone else. Pam wasn't going to confess to Jim. She was probably sold on the idea that he had moved on from her and, like you said, she seems to be respecting those intentions and wishes.
